Happy Valentine's Day!

We were very last minute this year as Jadyn was sick so we couldn't leave the house to purchase our Valentine's. But we finally made it today and it has been fun. I figured if they kids were in public school, you know they take the time out to have a party and watch movies, etc. So today we went out in public and made our purchases and hurried home to assemble them.

They are miniature pink lunch sacks that we decorated with stickers and ribbon and filled them full of candy to give to our neighbor friends.

And because we have an addiction to sugar problem in this house, I decided to forgo any candy for the kids and do gifts instead. Of course, they had to be 'learning' type gifts so the kids made out.

Bridger got a Bio Dome Habitat and he is trying to hatch Triop Eggs right now. They are these ugly crab things. You can see it in the picture below where the brown slop is floating in the top of the tank. There are other sections of this habitat where he can collect other bugs.

And Jadyn got a real sewing machine! I gave her this really cheap one for Christmas and she has been using it like crazy but unfortunately it didn't produce anything of quality because the stitches wouldn't stay in. So I decided to get her a beginning one that has a couple of stitches and a bobbin she she can really sew. She is sewing right now as I type this. The box just happened to be delivered by UPS today.

Keith and I decided we were not going to do presents this year because all we can think about right now is NEW HOUSE. So there goes my Kitchenaid Mixer again! Maybe next year. But I did make a Keith a great card- or a mini scrapbook. I have been working on it since December. I am a bit slow. Here is a pic of it closed.

And another one of it open...

Isn't it cute?

I hope everyone has a great Valentine's Day
