Randomness
I have many thoughts, but they don't go together:
1. Murphy's oil soap works wonders on wood floors. I finally got all the marshmellow mess off my floor with that and a good mop and they are super shiny and slick as snot.
2. Because they are so slick, I totally biffed it yesterday morning. I knew it would happen sooner or later but if I was any older I would have broken a hip! I totally tripped over a suitcase that I haven't put away from my Nebraska trip at 5:30in the morning and pretty much face planted. Nursing a knee that took most of the hit.
3. A new pass time of mine is sweeping my floors-- love it! And it makes me realize with everything I sweep up in just one day that carpet truely is gross!
4. I am supposed to be leaving right now and heading to Lifeway in temple to buy a birthday present for someone. I am buying the new Beth Moore bible study called Esther for both myself and her and the sale I am trying to get to ends at noon.
5. But I rather sit here and drink coffee on my backporch and type away while watching a house being put up behind me in the distance. My little piece of paradise will be slowly disappearing since I won't be able to watch the deer and birds once these houses go up.
6. I have been debating on how I am going to get through Christmas day with the kids since we are doing it different this year. This year we are going on a Mexican cruise but not until the 5th of Jan. So I think I am going to do a scavenger hunt for the kids. I just have decide what they need for the trip and go and purchase the items still to get this thing set up. I do the last clue is going on post to see Keith on a video teleconference where he will tell the kids about the cruise.
7. I still haven't decorated for christmas. I am thinking that the day after I will go buy a tree and put it up then! haha and keep it up until Keith comes home and we will have a mini christmas then.
8. Keith is about to call me so I guess I will end this now!

I am in military housing, so we don't have carpet. I bought a Bissell Flip It so I could vacuum the floor instead of sweep (It never felt like I was getting all the dirt up just by sweeping). You should see all the dirt and hair that ends up in the container. Like twice the amount that I could get up when I was sweeping. Disgusting to see how much dirt was on the floors.
dirt, dirt, dirt! How would have liked to live in a dugout in the olden days when the whole floor was dirt? You just packed it down well, sprinkled it abit for dust and swept very carefully!
So much for shinny cleam floors, where you can break your neck, or knee!Have a peaceful Christmas!
looks like I will be buying a bissell flip!
I am sorry about your fall but things like that make me laugh....I don't know why... but it does and I can't help it. I hope you have a great trip and a very Merry Christmas. I like a plain old dust mop to.
