S'mores for everyone!
So we got crazy this weekend- I guess you can call it that when you are talking about Keith and I. We have a lot of extra property beyond our grass line in the backyard- it must extend for another 20 feet and it is just rock so growing grass there would be difficult. So we decided to build a firepit. Since we live in the middle of a construction zone we "aquired" the materials we needed. All we had to buy was a wheelbarrel. We also surrounded the firepit with rock gravel so we can sit out there and not be attacked by ants, spiders or whatever wants to come around our feet. It is really neat.
You can see all the materials behind us that the builder has left behind. I am sure we will find more uses for it. The kids are excited to use this pit for more than marshmellows-- I was telling them about the foil dinners I used to have growing up and how we would cook them in the coals. We may do that in the next week or so.

That looks like reunion time on The Arizona Strip. gran
Good for you guys! We just love our fire pit and wish we used it more. And foil dinners are the best, Dad wants to make them often. Make sure to use heavy foil and wrap it twice! You'll want to get some BBQ tongs to use to turn it and remove it from the embers. You guys always liked picking the things you each wanted to go into your own dinner! And don't forget Choco Bananas you do in foil also! MOM
